About Nemo!
Welcome, fellow adventurers! You’ve stumbled into the digital reef of ‘Nemo’ – just your everyday IIT grad who swapped algorithms for algae, startups for starfish, and the bustling city for the tranquil ocean. You may need a map to navigate my career path – it’s not quite the beaten track.
Right after cracking the elusive JEE and basking in the academic fervor of IIT, I found myself at the University of Auckland, immersed in a fully-funded PhD. Yet, like a curious fish drawn to shiny objects, I dropped academia for the fast-paced world of IoT at Cubical Labs. There, from a tiny team of five, we grew to a formidable troop of seventy. And that was just the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey.
Now, if you’re picturing a typical tech enthusiast, I might surprise you. When I’m not waist-deep in AI and startups, I’m literally waist-deep in the ocean. My passion for marine life led me to establish Edumarine, a social enterprise dedicated to preserving our beautiful, yet threatened, underwater ecosystems. I mean, someone has to look after the corals while cracking the code to growth hacking, right?
My repertoire of pastimes is just as diverse. You may catch me paragliding through the skies, growing mushrooms in my backyard, or exploring the art of cinematography. I’ve even been known to tattoo myself (because, why not?) And let’s not forget about ‘Udaan’, the initiative I started in 2012 that’s been providing wings to underprivileged children in India.
So, here I am – AI enthusiast by day, marine biologist by night, and startup mentor in the in-between. I invite you to dive deep into my eclectic world, where code meets coral, and innovation meets imagination. I promise it’s an adventure you wouldn’t want to miss. And remember, no scuba gear required!
